## 1. The Service

link-preview ("the Service") is a utility API as described in its
documentation. Results and outputs are provided on a best-effort basis; where
the Service makes classifications or judgments, they are **heuristic signals,
not guarantees**.

## 2. Accounts and API keys

You receive one or more API keys. Keys are secret; you are responsible for all
usage under your keys. Notify us immediately if a key is compromised. One
free-tier key per person or project; creating additional free accounts to
evade limits is a breach of these terms.

## 3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any law or third-party right;
resell raw output as a competing service; probe, load-test, or circumvent
rate limits or quotas; or submit content in violation of a platform's terms.
We may suspend keys that breach these rules.

## 4. Your data responsibilities

You are the controller of any personal data you submit to the Service; we act
as a transient processor to produce your result and do not persist submitted
content. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for what you submit.

## 5. Availability

Best-effort operation. No uptime SLA unless separately agreed in writing. We
may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

## 6. Fees (paid tiers, when they exist)

Plans are prepaid monthly in advance. Exceeding quota returns an error rather
than an overage charge. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Refunds
within 7 days of first payment on request.

## 7. Termination

Either party may stop using / providing the Service at any time. On request
we delete account and usage data associated with your keys.

## 8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to
the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 for free-tier
use). We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

## 9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced at least 14
days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

## 10. Governing law
